There are numerous therapy models employed by secular and religious counselors today. These designs are theorized based upon an understanding of the creation and psychology of man. Psychology is merely the study of behavior. The psychology of behavior encapsulated in one sentence would be that "People are moved by what they believe, yet they do what they choose". Faith-Based Therapy is an integrated approach to psychological healing and spiritual growth based on the dynamics of beliefs, choices, and faith. This Christian counseling model explains behavior in practical terms. Once understood, change is facilitated more effectively. Biblical examples, principles and approaches are utilized to identify the root cause of a problem, eliminate any hindrance to spiritual growth, and cultivate the faith necessary to overcome the problem. Our Faith Therapy program equips individuals with the essential tools enabling them to excel past their traumatic ordeals. By changing paradigm mindset, letting go of their old habits, and adapting new behaviors, they learn to master and are no longer victim to their pain.
Faith Therapy is the methodology of in-depth Christian Counseling and life coaching, derived directly from the Bible and centered on the process of salvation through faith.
Our student Dominique came to our program broken. She was homeless in Northern California and addicted to drugs. Dominique found out she was pregnant and felt hopeless. She traveled down to Los Angeles to find peace with her family. We thank her family for enrolling her in our program. With the help of the B.R.I. her life was saved from a heavy addiction that she faced most of her life. Not only her life, but her baby as well. She no longer has suicidal thoughts and is getting stronger with her faith.
Our Former student, Emmanuel, came to the Institute not knowing his own identity and weary about his current life choices. However with the help of the B.R.I., he developed the character of humility, and self control that is being utilized in his education, career and physical well-being.
